Midlands Area Parenting Partnership are delivering programs for parents of primary school children over the coming months.
Please find attached above junior flyer to parents of pupils in Junior Infants up to 4th class and Teen flyer to parents of pupils in 5th & 6th class. All the programs are free for Parents to attend but they need to book a place with Deirdre 0860274837/Sinead 086 8215102… or contact the MAPP Office on 0906447111. We also provide Fear- Less program for parents of children 6-12 years who have issues in relation to anxiety. We have two upcoming seminars in the Laois area, If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me. All children from 1st to 6th class have received their marathon cards. Your child is being encouraged to get into the habit of being active on a daily basis by running/walking a marathon this term on the school track. The card allows the children to keep account of how many laps they have completed. Please enquire from your child how they are getting on and encourage them to complete same.
Second Class will make their First Penance in the Parish Church this Saturday 14th March.
School Teams recently competed in the Laois Finals and six teams have now progressed to the regional finals. We are hopeful that at least one of the teams will succeed in reaching the All-Ireland schools finals.
On Friday 1st May 6th class will hold their annual bake sale. Our chosen charity this year is Pieta House
Computer Classes start back on Wednesday 18th September for 24 weeks up until Easter for 3rd-6th Class. The cost is €50 per child. This can be paid online or through the school app link.
