The school is accepting applications for Junior Infant enrolment for the school year 2018-2019 during the month of November 2017.
Application forms are available from the school website www.heathns.ie or the school office. Closing date for receipt of completed application forms is Thursday 30th November 2017. All forms must be fully completed with the childs' birth cert and a current utility bill. For further information please contact the school Principal Mr. David O' Brien 057 864668. 6th Class will visit Portlaoise Library on Wednesday 15th November as part of Science Week. The children will take part in an experiment craft session "Fly Your Kite". The bus will leave at 11am and pick up the children at 12.30pm from the library.
30th November is the date for Parent Teacher meetings. Teachers will be in contact over the next few days to organise a time.
The school will run a readathon starting on Monday 15th November and concludingon Friday 15th December in aid of school resources. Each child is asked to read a book a week for 5 weeks, five books in total and to get sponsorship of €2 per book.
The Parents Council are running a clothing collection from Monday 6th November to Thursday 10th November. Bags can be dropped into the office
Team Hope is again running its Christmas shoebox collection for children in poorer countries. Shoeboxes should be brought into school by Friday 10th November
