School will close at 12.30pm on Thursday 22nd December for the Christmas Holidays. We will re-open on Monday 9th January at 9am. We hope the children and their families have a lovely Christmas and we look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.
The 5th Cross Country Competitions is on tomorrow Friday 16th December The Junior Race 1st/2nd @ 11.20am The Intermediate Race 3rd/4th Class @ 11.45am The Senior Race 5th/6th Class @ 12.10am Bring in a change of footwear. There are 6 races in the Competition. ( If Race Day is Wet, the race will be on the next dry day.) The 6th Cross Country Race takes place on Monday. Junior Soccer League: Takes place every Tuesday and Thursday for 1st to 2nd Class Choir takes place every Wednesday from 1.00-1.30pm for students from 2nd to 6th class. They are practicing for the Christmas Carol Service. Pupils who play their own instruments are welcome to bring in their instruments to play for Ms. Owens on Thursdays.
We are hoping to acknowledge your chilsd's dedication to the choir by tyaking them to a musical performance in The Ark in Dublin entitled A CHRISTMAS CAROL. Your child has been a valued member of our school choir and to show our appreciation the school will cover the cost of a bus to and from the performace. we are asking for €5 from parents to cover the cost of your child's ticket. The performace will be on Thursday 15th December and we will be back before home time. The children must be in school for 8.45am. Please ensure your child has a good packed lunch to take with them. Parents should note that on Tuesday 13th December school will close at 12 noon to facilitate in-service.
Hurling and camogie will take place Wednesday at small break and lunch break for boys and girls from 4th, 5th and 6th Class. You should bring your own hurl and helmet.
Training for the school teams will start towards the end of January Infants, 1st and 2nd will perform their Christmas plays on Tuesday 20th December.
Infants Play starts at 9.45am 1st and 2nd Class starts at 11.15am The plays will last approximately 1 hour Thursday is the 8th December. 2nd-6th Class Children will celebrate Mass in the Heath Church at 9.30am. Children should be dropped from 9am to the church this Thursday. The School will drop the children back by bus to school.
