What are Children's Health and Diseases?

Child health and diseases is a branch of medicine that deals with the development of a child.

The department of child health and diseases is also called the department of pediatrics. By a general definition, it can be explained as a science that deals with the development of a child or a branch of medicine that deals with babies and children.

Every child who is sick is referred to other branch physicians after the examination in the pediatrics department and if necessary. In cases of mild flu and similar diseases that are survived standing up, the intervention of pediatric outpatient clinic doctors will be sufficient.

The department of pediatrics deals with congenital anomalies, motor development, growth, mental health, child vaccination follow-ups, nutrition, weight control, neurological health problems, daily life functions and all kinds of health problems that negatively affect the overall health status.

If the pediatrician thinks that detailed examinations should be performed after the examination, he will make the referral of the patient to physicians specializing in pediatrics.
