RE: Opening Dates for Classes
Work is continuing at the school to fully prepare for re-opening at the end of August. This work involves looking at every aspect of the school’s daily routines and procedures and significant changes will be required for the school to open safely. In the coming days, a series of notifications will inform you of the changes which are likely to impact on you and your child/children. The Board of Management requests that you support the changed routines and procedures and assist the school in explaining them to your child/children before they return to school.
Return dates for classes
Given the changes that Covid-19 is affecting on school routines, the Board of Management has decided to postpone the Junior Infants first day in school until Monday 31st August. This is to allow time for our current pupils to settle into their new routines and to lessen any confusion on the first day after such a long closure. The Board of Management hope that when our Junior Infants and their parents arrive on Monday, all other pupils and parents will have settled in to the new procedures, resulting in a safer and more enjoyable day for all. We apologise to the parents of Junior Infants for any inconvenience which this may cause but this decision was made by the Board, after careful consideration.
Please note return dates:
Junior Infants – Monday 31st August
All other classes – Thursday 27th August
Parents should note the above dates are based on current public health advice and could be subject to change. Any change to our dates will be notified to parents through our communication channels.
Further notifications will be issued to all parents in the coming days, please remember to check your school app and the school website on a daily basis to keep yourself informed.
