The month of November is reading month. The school encourages children and parents to get reading for the month. Activities in school will include book swaps, daily challenges, quizzes and paired reading. With regard to the paired reading in the infant classes, junior and senior infant parents are invited to come in on the four Thursdays in November from 9.00 – 9.20 to read with their child. Full details of the activities taking place will issue when school re-opens after Hallowe’en.
LAIV Nasal Flu Clinic will take place within school for the pupils who wish to receive it.
10:00/10:30 Date: Thursday 20/11/2025 The Parents Council will hold a Clothing Collection from Friday 7th-Thurssday 13th June. If have any clothes you no longer need please drop them into the school on these dates.
Our first debate motion is:
“Social Media should be banned for under 16s.” A practice debate against Killenard NS takes place on Wednesday, 12th November @ 12.45pm. We will be opposing this motion — which means we’ll argue that under 16s should not be banned from using social media. Swimming for 1st,2nd, 3rd and 4th classes commence Wednesday 17th September for eight weeks. The cost is €65 which includes the bus and swimming pool.
