The school is very grateful to the family of the late Seamus Holland, a former parent and supporter of the school, who recently donated €5,000 in his memory to the school. The family would like to share the following message with the school community: “We are honoured to have made a donation to our local primary school, The Heath N.S., in memory of our late father Seamus Holland. A place that played a defining role in our own upbringing and continues to guide the early steps of our future generations. The school has long stood as a true pillar of the community, offering not just education, but unwavering support, compassion, and togetherness. Throughout our father’s cancer journey, The Heath community rallied behind us in ways we will never forget—from generous contributions towards vital treatment, to the kind words and encouragement offered to Dad and our entire family during the most difficult moments. This donation is our small gesture of gratitude, a way to give back to those who stood by us when we needed it most. Although Dad is no longer with us, we know he would be immensely proud to see these funds directed toward something so close to his heart. It brings us comfort to honour him in a way that supports the growth, learning, and development of the children who will shape the future.” We thank the Holland family for their kind words and are proud that our school and community lives out our Christian values when families are in need. As Christmas approaches we remember Seamus and the other parents and former pupils we have lost in recent years. “Those we love don’t go away, They walk beside us every day, Unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed and very dear”.
