The yard rota this week is as follows;
Junior Yard: Team 5
Kate Rigney, Adam, Zenab, Emmanuel, Tony and Jessica.
Senior Yard: Team 4
Eva, Caleum, Jack Gibson, Maggie, Cormac, John, Francisco and Aljon
It is very important that both teams are on the yard for both lunches each day. we are starting active yard on the Senior yard after mid-term.
Well done to all the entries in our active schools motto competition. Because there were so many great entries, we have given an individual prize to each class and have also picked an overall winner who wins active homework for their whole class for one night this week.
2nd Class Winner: Catherine - Don't be a fool stay active in school.
4th Class Winner: Anna- It's good to learn its good to sit. But most of all its good to be fit!
5th Class Winner: Hazel- Get off  your seat and move your feet.
6th Class Winner: Maria - Skip hop jump and rum. Come on now, lets have some fun.
Overall Winner: Rachel Kelly: Dance to the beat, Move your Feet, Let's get Active, On the Heath.
Congratulations 1st Class!!! You have won active homework for one night this week.

Students Council

Congratulations to Jack Graham, Maria Preston, Eva Whelan, Sarah Troy,, Hazel Dalton, Kate Rigney, Adam Sherlock, Caelum O' Rourke, Ali Kliscs Usman and Eve Doyle who have been elected on the student's council this year. The council will work on many initiatives during the year assisting in the day to day running of the school. Their main focus this year is working towards achieving an active Schools Flag. The council look forward to working with parents and pupils during the year to get all pupils active for sixty minutes in each day

You are on yard both lunches everyday this week.  From Wednesday there will be PE equipment in the activity circle for 1st and 2nd classes.  A reminder that we are looking for a slogan or motto for the active school campaign.  Closing date is this Friday with the prize for the winner of  active homework for your whole class.

Please give your entry to the student council at assembly this Friday
The prize for the winner is a night of active homework for your whole class - written homework, you can play sports instead.
